"The Organic Garden" is representational of my vegetable garden, with images of Kentucky Wonder pole beans, fennel, cherry tomatoes, and parsley.  It features cyanotypes on cotton and includes fabric I hand painted as well as commercial cottons and silks.  It is extensively machine stitched.  Size: 65" x 59".      ForSale: $7000

"Mizuna"  is a type of Japanese mustard green I grow each spring.  It is easy, reliable, and delicious raw or cooked.  It is also very beautiful, with feathery green leaves and white ribs.  This work features cyanotype images on cotton, silk and cotton fabrics, vintage linen and lace, machine stitching, and hand beading.  Size: 30" x 27".

"Geranium Wargrave Pink"  incorporates a cyanotype image, for the center panel, with heliographic prints.  The fabrics are silks, wools, and cottons; it is extensively machine stitched and hand beaded with glass seed beads and semi-precious stones.  Size: 24" x 27".

Open Windows".  This work features heliographic prints on cotton and silk, cotton handpainted by the artist, extensive machine stitching, and hand beading.  Size:  23" x 24". For Sale: $1500.

"Margarita".  This work celebrates the pleasure of having drinks on the deck on a summer evening.  “Margarita” is the variety of ornamental sweet potato vine I grow in planters.  The top image is a cyanotype, the lower image is a heliographic print, and the borders are constructed with Seminole patchwork.  It is heavily machine stitched and embellished with textile paint.      Size: 45" x 55"         For Sale:  $5,100

"Castor Bean".  The central image is a cyanotype on silk of a single castor bean leaf.  The inner border is silk, and the outer border is pieced from Authentic Harris tweed wools.  It is machine stitched and hand beaded.  Size: 40 x 39.

"Five Days Last Fall"   In the fall of 2003 we had a streak of spectacular, summer-like weather.  Each day  while it lasted, I found some foliage that had not yet been frosted and made a cyanotype on cotton or silk.  This work is a tribute to finding beauty in unexpected ways.  It incorporates Seminole patchwork, machine stitching, and hand beading. It measures 86" x 63".

"Sweetgum in Autumn"  this work captures the warmth of a splendid autumn day. The center image is a cyanotype that has been extensively hand embroidered.  The outer borders are pieced from a variety of silks.  It is heavily machine stitched and hand beaded.  It measures 47" x 54".    For Sale: $5,300.

.The Fledgling".  A fledgling robin made its first flight from the nest under the deck to the branches of my locust tree, where it paused so I could take its picture.  This works incorporates a digital print on cotton, heliographic prints on cotton, wool and silk fabrics, machine stitching, and hand beading.  Size: 43" x 31".        For Sale:  $2,800

"Poke Salad"   For this work I gathered plants, both wild and cultivated, and used them to make a cyanotype.  The border is pieced from silks.  It incorporates hand embroidery and beading, and machine stitching.  I am fascinated with the poke plant; although it is a weed I assiduously remove from my flower beds, I eat the greens in early spring (the mature plant is toxic), and I greatly admire the beauty of the berries in the fall.  Size: 53 x 37                                   For Sale:  $4,100

"Red Velvet Pants"  The photographs are of my daughters, taken on a summer's day.  I altered them, printed them on transparencies, and transferred them onto cotton fabric.  I used silk fabrics, including a vintage sari, machine stitching, and hand embroidery and beading.  Joy in the garden!    Size:  29" x 34".  For Sale: $2,100

"Lavender in a Lightening Storm"   This image pits the fragility and strength of lavender flowers against the forces of nature, showing the crackling energy in the air and the rain replenishing the earth. The quilt incorporates Seminole piecing and hand applique, and is entirely hand quilted.    Size: 60" x 62"

"Daylilies at Dawn"    This quilt uses silk noil for the flowers and the white background, and Seminole piecing for the borders.  It is hand appliqued and embroidered and has both hand and machine quilting. I wanted to capture the soft colors of an early summer morning.   Size: 57" x 77"
